Reserving Club 55
in 2026.

Club 55 takes its bookings by phone. The reservation system is older than most websites that try to describe it. Here is how the booking works in 2026: phone numbers, lead times, the front-bed versus back-row geometry, what to ask for.

Club 55 has been on Pampelonne since 1955, eight kilometres south of Saint-Tropez village, on the Boulevard Patch end of the beach. It is a beach restaurant first and a beach club second. The order matters. The lunch is the point. The beds are reserved for diners. The tender from your yacht arrives at a marked buoy.

There is a phone number, there are people who answer the phone, and the time you call (mornings, French time, weekdays) shapes the answer you get more than any portal will admit.

The phone call

The public reservation number is +33 4 94 55 55 55. The team takes calls from 9am French time. Have your dates, party size, and the answer to "children in the group?" ready before you dial. That last one is the question that gates the seating decision.

For ten or more in August, lead time is four to six weeks before the date for any reasonable chance at the table you actually want. Inside that window, we can try, but we won't promise what we can't lock.

Front row versus back row

Club 55 seats run in roughly five tiers from the water back toward the pine line. The front row is what every photograph of Club 55 actually shows: the water on one side, the central bar twenty metres behind. The back row sees pine trees and the central bar from the wrong side.

For a group, the request to make is "front row, central section". The central section sits between the bar and the tender drop, which matters if any of your party are coming in by boat. Side sections (left or right of central) are quieter but further from the bar and the photo opportunity.

The lunch itself

Menu is salade-Niçoise, simple grilled fish, the famous crudités platter, frites. Wine is Provence rosé in magnums. The Club 55 house rosé is unmistakable. Plan on €100 to €200 per person for lunch including wine. If you order Champagne the per-person number climbs into the €250+ range.

Lunch service runs 12:30 to about 16:00. The second service is rarely worth the wait. Beds free up around 16:30 for a quieter afternoon if you stay.

The mistake everyone makes

Trying to book Club 55 the week of the trip. Pampelonne in August is its own market. Lead time is the variable you control. The table is the variable you don't. If a venue says no, we send the same request to one of the alternates: Loulou, La Réserve à la Plage, Bagatelle Beach, with the equivalent specs.

Same day, in writing.

Frequently asked

Club 55, the questions.

Can you walk up to Club 55 in August?
No. Pampelonne peak August requires a confirmed reservation, made by phone, days to weeks ahead. The walk-up era ended somewhere around 2016.
What's the actual phone number for Club 55?
+33 4 94 55 55 55 is the public number. The reservations team is reachable from 9am French time and they take French and English. Mornings are easier than afternoons.
Front-row beds versus back row: does it matter?
Yes. The front row at Club 55 looks at the water. The back row looks at the back row in front of it. For ten people, the request to make at booking is "front row, central section". The central section gives access to the bar and the tender pickup if you've come in by boat.
Is there a minimum spend?
Effectively yes during peak August, though Club 55 doesn't publish one. Plan on €100 to €200 per person for lunch including wine. If you order Champagne the number climbs.
Can a concierge actually get a table the venue refused you?
Sometimes, if we have a working relationship and we send the request in writing with specific details (date, party size, whether kids are in the group, what the lunch is for). Sometimes the venue is simply full. We tell you which it is the same day.

We'll make the call for you.
