Saint-Tropez.
The village, the port, and the road south to Pampelonne.
Saint-Tropez is the centre of gravity for the peninsula, and the village itself is the smallest part of the work. The bookings that matter are spread across Saint-Tropez village (L'Opéra, Le Quai, Le Café, Sénéquier for an apero), Ramatuelle and Pampelonne to the south (Club 55, Loulou, Nikki Beach, Bagatelle, Verde, Casa Amor, Shellona, La Réserve à la Plage), and Casa Rocco closer to the village.
The peninsula's reality is one of distance over time. The road from Sainte-Maxime to Saint-Tropez Vieux Port is 12 kilometres on the map. In August peak it's an hour to an hour and a half. Bateaux Verts runs a shuttle across the Gulf, fifteen minutes, frequent until mid-evening. We plan around the shuttle for lunch and early dinner, and a private driver for late-night returns when the shuttle is closed.
Sainte-Maxime is where we work from. Saint-Tropez is where the table is.
